General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, treatment protocols are decided with co-relation of symptoms and associated figures of supportive lab data. In a case of hyperthyroid condition, it is obvious for transient levels of lower level thyroid functioning with increasing dose of anti thyroid medication as neomercazole for a period of time.

Depending upon the underlying cause of the basic hyperthyroidism, it is matter of concern whether there will be returning of the same or not. Kindly provide me a full report details of thyroid function test as that of:
Total T4 and free T4
Total T3 and reverse T3
Specific antibodies as TPO and others if any

Also, provide all details of current symptoms and latest scan report of thyroid gland if available.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
