Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As a
liver surgeon, I can tell you that there is no such thing as cleansing your liver by eating or drinking a miracle product . The liver has an enormous regeneration capacity, meaning you can do a lot before it becomes permanently ill. Generally accepted I tell my patients that a female body can tolerate 2 alcoholic drinks (beer) per day. Drinking alcohol doesn't create any pain, at least not in your liver. Alcohol can give you some bowel cramps.
If people continue drinking then there might occur problems. For example you can do what we call an alcoholic
hepatitis. (mostly heavy drinkers) which can cause some capsular pain of the liver. Liver stetosis can occur if you drink a lot. Meaning the liver becomes fatty. But also pain in the region of the liver can be caused by
gall bladder problems like sludge or
gall bladder stones. In you want to cleanse your liver, drink enough water, skip a week any alcohol so your liver can recover.
Eat healthy food (biological food like carrots, artichoke, and not too much sugar. It will be transformed in fatty cells in your liver. But don't try any crazy diets or products. It might harm the liver more than expected. So enjoy life with or without a social drink.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
