Suggest Treatment To Control Blood Sugar And Sinus Infection

I am a 59 yo female w/ medication controlled diabetes (taking Metformin formerly also used Glipizide) I have had a sinus infection for a very long duration, had surgery on 1/7 but am still fighting the effects of the sinusitis. I was just prescribed Augmentin and also Medrol. Of course the Medrol is inflating my blood sugar levels. Should I take Glipizide and how much to control my sugar levels. Recent reading of 227 at 3:15pm Took Metformin1000mg and 5mg Glipizide this morning at 7:00am.

your sugar level is elevated secondary to steroid.
there are two modalities for controlling your sugar levels
1) the dosage of metformin can be increased in split dose or
2)the dosage of glipizide can be increased.
kindly consult your doctor because a clinical assessment is required before stepping up of dosages of drugs.
