Suggest Treatment To Control Cough And Cold

My son have frequent cold, cough and wheezing (some times). We are giving Corominic xt and hicet for cold. But cough is not coming under controll which he struggle to sleep and eat. Will you prefer to give him Benadryl or please suggest best syrup for my son he is 1year 6 months.

Hi, thanks for your query.
Continue same medicine for cold.
For cough I would suggest any expectorant cough syrup like LCF kid 3 ml thrice a day.
If cough is very severe, then I would suggest to give duolin + budecort nebulization every 4 th hourly. This will definitely reduce cough.
If symptoms persists even after this treatment for more than 5 day s , then please do consult your pediatrician and get him evaluated.
He may need antibiotics if there is infection.
