Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Weight gain is very possible with diet modification.Addiction to eating raw rice may be contributing to you not putting on weight.Eating uncooked rice or other uncooked grains may be harmful especially if not well washed because it may contain
Bacillus cereus and
lectin which may rather cause food
poisoning. You will however have to avoid eating raw rice. This may be difficult but it is possible.I will advise you start by reducing the quantity and frequency of taking it, then try half-cooked rice and progressively continue till you stop it completely and switch to cooked rice.
You also need to know that you can only gain weight when there is a net gain in energy, that is, energy from food you eat is more than energy you use for your daily activities. The net gain will be stored as
proteins in muscles and fats in adipose tissues.I will advise you try the following measures:
-Rest/sleep well
-Remain active with regular exercise accompanied by high energy snacks
-Avoid low calory foods
-Get on a regular eating schedule
-Choose low volume, high calorie foods like nuts, butter, dried fruits, Fresh, dense fruits, Starchy vegetables, Healthy oils and fats
-Regularly take high energy drinks
-Avoid stress
Hope this will help you
Best regards
