Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I conceived on Nov 2, 2015. On third month scan it was found that my baby has Neural tube defect. We have no option and I aborted (vaginal delivery) my baby on Feb 15, 2016. My periods date for preceding months are March 24, April 22, May 23. Usually periods lasts for 3 to 4 days. But from May 23rd I had it for more than seven days. Soon I got periods on June 7 (had it for 5 days) and June 19 to present. No pain, sickness or menstrual cramps. Is I have PCOS? Still I m not relieve from the lose of my first baby. I want to get pregnant again. Please guide me and give me a positive reply.
* As per my clinical experience, the neural tube defect is most commonly presented due to folic acid deficiency in the mother during early fetal growth and organ formation period.
Kindly discuss the same with your OBGY to prevent second pregnancy loss due to the same reason. Be Positive and hope for the best in second round dear.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
