Hi,

Poly cystic ovary disease presents with symptoms like irregular periods, anovulation, insulin resistance, infertility etc.

In your case:
- Generally menstrual cycles between 21 to 35 days can be considered as normal.
According to your description you may be having 33 to 38 days cycles, that has to be considered normal to you
- Glucophage contains metformin, which is a insulin sensitizer
- Duphastan contains progesterone, which helps in regularization of menstrual cycles.

You can continue these as advised by your doctor. The measures that can help to decrease the weight are:
- Normal Body mass index should be around 18.5 to 24.9 for females
- To maintain this you should have regular balanced diet, regular exercise. Brisk walk for 30 to 45 minutes per day is a easy and effective exercise to reduce the weight.
- Usually it is not advisable to use medicines to reduce the weight as that can have side effects on different systems. So, better to go in physiological way.
- After using Glucophase and Duphaston, possibly within next few cycles, your doctor may recommend you tablets for ovulation induction, which will help in conception.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
