Suggest Treatment To Remove The Blood Clots From Leg
My leg was full of blood clots 40 years ago because of a complication of a pregnancy. I was treated at that time & was told the clots were gone. Since then my leg was left swollen approx 3 larger than the other one around the knee. Just today I went to see my dr & he ordered an ultrasound, which I will have on Monday. I noticed my leg a little bigger & my shoe doesn t fit right anymore. I ve had 2 ultrasounds in the 15 yrs ago & they found that there were several clots lodged into the sides of my veins or arteries, not sure which they said. If there s a clot in my leg, what is the procedure to remove it?

Usually there are clots in the veins, known as phlebo thrombosis or thrombophlebitis if it is associated with inflammation.Rarely , there may be clots in the arteries.Clots can be removed from veins by open method-thromboectomy,by closed method-dormia basket, Fogarty catheter.
