hello doctor, my father is 65 years old, he is diabetic,. recently, his sugar level was recently 230 on fasting. he looks physically fine and there are no cardiac problem related symptoms observed in him. he daily walks 4-5 kms. and climbs 50-75 stairs once a week. coincidentally one day he discussed his life style with a cardiologist who suggested him to go for TMT ( treadmill test) for precautionary purposes. the test came out to be mildly positive. he then went for angiography where it was found that he is suffering from triple vessel disease, he has more than 90% calcification in his three arteries. doctors advised that the warning system of his heart has failed. he is advised for CABG. but some of the doctors say that he can be cured by use of rotter blades and three stent and there is no need for CABG. we are all very confused as to what treatment to go for. please help.
