Suggest Treatments For HIV

I had a HIV exposure two weeks ago. I started prep 1week later as a desperate measure as the person only old me he is +ve after a week. I got a bad sore throat 1week after exposure. Exposure was just from precum and kissing I live in africa.please help

When the HIV gets into your blood, you may get symptoms such as a sore throat. During this time a viral load (PCR) may be positive. The regular antibody HIV test does not turn positive until several weeks after an exposure. If you know for certain the person has HIV, I suggest you get the PCR test now. I am not sure what you mean by "prep" but you may want to talk to your doctor about taking HIV drugs for a short time to prevent the infection. You should get periodic blood tests for HIV for at least 6 months.
