Suggest Treatments For A Rat Bite

yesterday night at 1:30 i got bitten by a rat to my left ear which was bleeding for a while .. is it a serious thing? is it necessary to take treatment for that? if so what treatment do u suggest and its please specify its expenses..am a banglore resident near Kundahalli..

I have gone through your query. Rat bite can cause bacterial infections. So it should be washed thoroughly with soap and water and apply antiseptics. Tetanus prophylaxis should be taken. Antibiotics will be needed also. This treatment you can get in government hospital for free in bangalore. In private hospital also the whole treatment will be within 500 rupees. Antirabies prophylaxis is not given for small rats.
