Suggest Tretament For Redness And Pain The Buttocks After Injury

I fell off a stool and landed on my butt, but hit my flank on a a piece of furniture causing redness and pain. That was 24 hours ago, redness is gone, no bruising is apparent, but the pain is significant. Could this be a bruise or should I be concerned about kidney or rib. No obvious blood in urine.

Taking 3 advil every 4 - 5 hours, used cold compress through the night, some heat today.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As a physician, I would like to tell you that, blunt trauma to abdomen causes contusion and it takes time to reabsorb the blood back in system. You should try switching to Tablet Aceclofenac and Tablet Enzoflam. I would also suggest that you should visit your physician if the redness does not subside after 7 days of treatment.

Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice day.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
