Suggest Ways To Avoid Gum Bleeding During Brushing
I thought I was coughing up blood after brushing my teeth, so I forced myself to cough a bit and checked out whatever came up. There didn t seem to be much blood in the saliva, so I brushed the roof of my mouth again and checked once more, and there was a noticeable amount in my spit when I checked that time. Is that normal if I brush a bit too hard/too far back towards my throat?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain bleeding after brushing is commonly seen when there is inflammation of the mucosa or the gums due to infection as the bleeding in your case is occurring after brushing.. There is a possibility that you have brushed the roof of the mouth too hard with the toothbrush and it has led to trauma and inflammation of the mucosa leading to bleeding.. There can also be infection and inflammation in gums and it is leading to bleeding.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. In case if there is infection in gums scaling of the teeth followed by a course of antibiotics and gum paint application can help.. Do warm saline gargles.. Gargle with antiseptic mouthwash solution..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
