Hello,

Addiction is a very difficult problem. You can talk to him about some of the serious health effects like:
-- Hypertension
-- Seizures
-- Loss of consciousness
-- Panic attacks etc.

I would suggest you try to get him to attend meetings first/see a psychiatrist to explore his use and causes of use. At the end of the day you need to talk to him, tell him how its affecting you and how concerned you are about this. It is a long road ahead. I wish you both all the best.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
