Suggest Ways To Effectively Quit Smoking Without Withdrawal Effect During Pregnancy

Hi, I m 17 weeks pregnant, 21, and I have been a pretty heavy pot smoker for about 3 years now and I have tried to quit smoking pot for my baby but I get horrible withdrawals such as puking, no appetite, etc. I ve been researching and researching for a way to stop smoking pot completely in a way so I don t harm my baby but I haven t gotten anywhere. I would like to quit smoking but I m afraid that the withdrawals will hurt my baby because im not eating right. What s the best way for me to quit and not harm my baby?

Hello,

You seem to be a regular smoker of pot or Marijuana. So sudden stopping will cause withdrawal effects that you can't tolerate. A few withdrawal symptoms are diminished appetite, mood changes, irritability, sleep difficulties, including insomnia, headaches, loss of focus, cravings for Marijuana, sweating, including cold sweats, chills, increased feelings of depression and stomach problems.

Do not stop at once suddenly but reduce the frequency like twice in a day to once in alternate days to once in 3-4 days. Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water and avoid sugary, caffeinated beverages like soda. Eat healthy foods. Fuel your body with a generous supply of fresh fruit, vegetables, and lean protein. Avoid junk food, which can make you feel sluggish and irritable.

Exercise every day. Squeeze in at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. This provides a natural mood boost, and it can help remove toxins as you sweat. Find support. Surround yourself with friends, family members, and others who can help you through any withdrawal symptoms you may experience. Consult your gynecologist as well as a therapist to help you with withdrawal symptoms. Pot smoking is not at all good for your baby just remember that.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
