Suggest Ways To Manage Infection After An Ear Piercing

I had my ear pierced 7 weeks ago, and a few weeks ago I replaced the stud with a sleeper and then it became infected. The last few days it seems to have gone right down and the little ball that was there has almost disappeared. There now is like a piece of skin/growth and the back of the piercing and it is seeping and bleeding slightly and is a bit sore. What should I apply to it?

Hello my friend
Thank you for asking on HCM

Home treatment of an infected pierce :
1.If you see bleeding press it to stop bleeding
2.Apply a cold pack to reduce swelling and bruising. Never put ice directly it can damage tissue.
3.Wash the area for 5 min, 3-4 time a day
4.if you see the area is really infected use an antibiotic ointment like polymyxin B sulfate or bacitracin.
5.Avoid tight clothes and jewelry

Hope this information is helpful for you
Best regards
