General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can apply ice and take Advil medicine to reduce pain and swelling. If the pain and swelling persist even after that, then the possibility of infection should be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
