Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son was on clozapine for 2 years and just 5 days ago stoped clozapine abruptly and he is in hospital at moment and very sick. We as parent would like change medication because he was constantly sick had side effects bad thoughts and very frequent passing water sometimes even wetting . We would like him to start another type of antipsycotic medicine, however, doctors feel that to go back on clozapine would be more safer because other medication may cause more problems. Apparently to discontinue clozapine is dangerous, person may become mad. We as parents are very worried now and do not know what to do. please help us . Kind regards
I think it's due to incoming periods. Usually it happens before full bleeding starts. Keep good local hygiene. When periods are over, run an urine test and vaginal swab testing to rule out respective infection.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
