Suggest Ways To Manage The Side Effects Of Eliquis
I had stroke and they put me on Eliquis which I had many side affects. I lost a lot of weight on this medication and wondered how to put the weight back on. I m 100 pounds and was 120+ before the stroke. I have atrial fibullation. I am going to have an ablation on Dec.20. After waiting 5 months for them to give me okay. Anxiety has taken my life. Please help.
Apixaban is not known to give weight loss. I think the weight loss you had comes from anxiety. Taking Propranolol can improve your symptoms of anxiety and tachycardia.
You can exercise daily and go for walk. Increasing physical activity lowers stroke possibility and improves appetite to help you gain weight. Also, you can meet a dietitian for weight gain diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
