Suggest Ways To Manage The Side Effects Of Januvia

I have been taking metformin for sometime. My dr now says recent bloodm tests shoe that my kidneys are slowihg down and she wants me to switch to Januvia. I have heard there are unpleasant side effects. However it appears to be the most cost effective drug out there that medicare covers? Is it that much better n metformin? thaT

Januvia is a brand name but you can switch to other anti hyperglycemic drugs like Trajenta which is cheaper and better than metformin with low effect on kidney... So I would advice you to open up with your doctor a little regarding the cost effectiveness..
