Hello,
It is a huge step towards a better life ahead to start clean, and it is quite difficult to deal with
withdrawal symptoms without medications to counter the effects.
The issue with trying to start clean without the help of a doctor is the serious withdrawal effect might force you to go back to taking
methamphetamine.
In addition, methamphetamine stays longer in body than other drugs. Therefore the withdrawal symptoms take longer to disappear.
There is a medication that may relieve the withdrawal symptoms like short-term therapy with benzodiazepines. Forgetting the prescription you will need to see a doctor, and trying to treat withdrawal at home is unsafe with chances of convulsions to occur.
In my opinion, there is nothing to be concerned about in seeking
medical help as you are changing for better and it will help you stay clean if the withdrawal effects are cured.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
