Suggest Ways To Prevent Pregnancy Post Unprotected Sex

We are recently married on August 14th, I had first time sex with my partner somewhere on August 20th and her periods were regular for the month of September. Generally her period dates will come around end of each month to mid of first week of next month (Example: Between Aug 30th – Sep 4th) of every month. We continued having sex thereafter and she is missing her period for the month of October, Her Periods should have happened between Sep 30th and Oct 4th or 5th but she is still not experiencing any symptoms of periods as such. She started eating Papaya this morning(7th October). We are planning not to have a kid for another two years atleast. Please suggest us to avoid pregnancy in this earlier stage.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
If your partner has missed her periods, there is a high chace she could be pregnant.
Kindly get her urine pregnancy test done, check the blood levels of beta hCG and undertake ultrasound scan of the abdomen to assess the present status.
In case she is found to be pregnant, she needs to undergo process of abortion by means of pills (pregnancy of less than 10 weeks) or surgically (pregnancy of more than 10 weeks).
Kindly consult Gynaecologist with the report for further evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
