General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
An average adult(19-50) needs 1000mg and after 50yrs 1200mg of Calcium every day. Since you are having high cholesterol I would suggest the following foods,
Low fat (1% or 2%) milk and milk products, calcium fortified beverages ( almond, soy milk, 100% orange juice), beans, salmon and sardine with bones, broccoli, edamame and kale. Though calcium is present in meat it is not very significant source, choose lean meat otherwise and removing the fat layer doesn't get rid of dissolved fat.
Thanks
