Suggest Ways To Rule Out Psoriasis

My husband gets rashes. That don t go away quickly they appear with stress. The skin is red and splotches mostly on his elbows back of upper thigh and thighs and his butt. I think it is some type of psoriasis. What to treat with for relief Try cortisone for itching but doesn t seam to do much, have also tried coal tar. Says it is for psoriasis but smells very bad is it safe to use on butt

As per your case history you need to look at following points to rule out psoriasis -
1. The sites of body mostly involved in psoriasis are scalp, elbows, knees and back.
2. There are red skin lesions with white scaling over it.
3. There is winter exacerbation of lesions in psoriasis.
4. It is better to consult a dermatologist for perfect diagnosis and treatment.
