Ok, the drug is out of your system in a few days at the very most. The withdrawal from narcotics would peak at 7 days and be mostly gone by 14. For symptoms to pop up at 40 days would strongly imply it is a psychological effect. This would usually be associated with many thoughts about the drug and thoughts justifying use. Anti-depressants that work on anxiety, anti-schizophrenia medicines, and cognitive behavioral therapy would all be helpful on psychological compulsive behaviors.
