Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern and would explain that a new 24-48 hours ECG monitoring is necessary in order to investigate for cardiac arrhythmia and decide if you need to wean off Diltiazem.

It is also important to avoid stopping it cold turkey in order to avoid possible rebound cardiac arrhythmia. In such a case, a gradual lowering of the dose would be necessary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
