Suggest Ways To Wean Off Subutex

Hi, I don t know if you can answer this question but I have spinal fusion from severe scoliosis. I was given Subutex 2 mg tablets for the pain because I did not want to take hydrocodone or anything stronger or as addicting. However, after taking it for a year or so realize that it is just as addicting as Vicodin. I am trying to wean off of it, but it s very difficult I ve been weaning off for over six months and I m down to less than a milligram a day any suggestions? I m afraid just too cold turkey but not sure what to do feel like I m in an impasse because I start to feel horrible if I don t take at least a milligram a day. Thank you so much for any input you can give me

hi
thanks for using HCM.
all the opioid and its derivatives are habit forming if taken for extended period. You need to undergo detoxification. You can try Clonidine to control the withdrawl symptom under supervision of your doctor. Also you can first shift to Buprenorphine trans-dermal patch and then decrease its total weekly dose.
hope it will help you.
Thank
