Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain Tenovate cream contains active ingredient
Clobetasol Propionate and it is a steroid..
Steroid based creams are harmful if used for long durations of time and you have already used it for ten years that is a very long time..
Steroid creams can however make the skin complexion lighter but can continue to damage the skin by causing skin thinning,
pimples, inflammation, rashes, itching, excess hairgrowth and dilated veins under the skin..
Long term use make the skin dependant to
steroids and when you stop using it there will be withdrawal side effects that you are facing now when you stop using it..
Therefore,burning,
redness, pimples, white patches and lifeless skin is due to it..
You cannot stop steroid creams at once and you will have to taper down the use like if you use it twice a day, start using it once a day for a week, then once in two days for another week and then gradually increase the number of days and slowly stop the use..
You can also do cool compresses over the face to reduce redness and burning..
Taking anti allergics like Levocetrizine can help..
Avoid using any chemical cosmetics..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
