I noticed a spongy marble sized lump about a 1/4 up my left calf on Tues - on Thur it was golf ballbsized - today, Sat, I see more lumps that sort of make a circle around the approximate location as the 1st lump; also as you look down towards the ankle & foot there seems to be uneven places or , as it appears, more lumps; my leg feels achy - like a dead weight; I do have a buffalo gnat bite on my ankle that I noticed Tues & it has gotten larger & redder. I am not a diabetic but have major issues with slow healing & infections. Of course it s easy to think the worst like aneurysm, blood clots, etc. It is Sat - am I ok till Monday?
I advise to go to ER as you might need immediate treatment.
From what you are reporting, I can suppose that the buffalo bite is infected and giving local problems too.
Further examinations and immediate start of antibiotics course (i.v. and orally) is a must.
Meanwhile, I advise to buy iodine and potassium permanganate at your local drug store and : - 1. wash your legs with warm water and soap - 2. pour warmed water in a basin and then pour potassium permanganate inside - 3. soak your legs till the level of bite and lumps
