Suggestion For Otitus Media, Bright Lime Green Ear Wax,ear Pain,on Amoxicillin And Ciprodex .

I have otitus media that started with bright lime green ear wax. Antibiotics started Saturday times 7 days (amoxicillin) and ciprodex ear drops. Now ear wax is darker green but still some pain. Should I see my physician for due to pain still current or wait til the end of the antibiotics are completed(I am going to finish them no matter what) to see of the pain subsides. IBU relieves the pain slightly

Hi, otitis media is inflammation of the middle ear cleft and wax has nothing to do with it. Wax is in the external auditory canal and can be associated with otitis externa. So, inflammatory part can be covered with antibiotics both systemic and local. But getting your ear cleaned by an ENT after the pain has somewhat subsided will help in solving the problem. Regards
