Sunburn On Legs Causing Severe Pain While Standing, Walking. Taking Tylenol, Nsaids. Suggestions?
I have a sunburn on my legs, usual symptoms like burning but my when I try to stand or walk my legs are in severe pain internally. I am 35, I have had my share of burns in life, but never intern pain like this, and I mean severe to the point I almost collapse what is the cause and how can I treat it. I am taking Tylenol and NSAIDS already.
Hello user, Sunburn is a form of radiation burn that affects living tissue, it is caused by UV radiation, either from the sun or from artificial source. You should avoid direct sunlight by covering up the affected areas of skin and staying in the shade until your sunburn has healed.Cool the skin by sponging it with lukewarm water or by having a cool shower or bath. Applying a cold compress, such as a cold flannel, to the affected area will also cool your skin. U can apply corticosteroid cream directly onto the sunburned area to reduce pain and inflammation (swelling). If problems persists u must consult your dermatologist , as UV-rays responsible for sunburn are potent carcinogens.
