1. development of
hernia on one side increases the risk of developing hernia on the other side, called as Companion hernia. (Improper ligation of the sac, failure to narrow the cord, or inadequate reconstruction of the internal ring can cause recurrence).

5. avoid lifting heavy weight (always bend your knees and not your waist), stop
smoking (
cough can aggravate inguinal hernia), take fiber rich diet (which will prevent
constipation), wear loose and light clothes which don't apply too much of pressure on the affected area.
