Hi there Jeanna I read your description & turn of events with interest. It does not seem much to write home about. It appears more a case of some sort of pseudofolliculitis due to the shaving technique. Perhaps you shave against the grain. With the excessive sweating, an irritation is bound to occur & perhaps when you scratched, it ruptured the follicle & an irritant reaction pattern called granuloma pyogenicum may have occured. Of course, all this is speculation.
