Hi there Jeanna
I read your description & turn of events with interest. It does not seem much to write home about. It appears more a case of some sort of pseudofolliculitis due to the shaving technique. Perhaps you shave against the grain. With the excessive sweating, an irritation is bound to occur & perhaps when you scratched, it ruptured the follicle & an irritant reaction pattern called granuloma pyogenicum may have occured. Of course, all this is speculation. To be more certain, perhaps one could take a good clear photograph & post it on this site using the 'upload data' icon & if desirous of discretion can use our Ask-a-doctor special feature & we can further aid you.
Please apply a combination steroid-antibiotic-antifungal cream that you can easily get over the counter from your pharmacist & am sure all will be well soon!!
Godspeed!
