Swelling At The Base Of Nostril, Spreading. Amoxicillin Taken. Advise?

I am just getting over either a short cold or a bout with alergies (runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes). During the course of this I had to blow my nose quite often. Just inside the nostril at the base, swelling started to occur today. As the day has worn on, the swelling has spread to the upper part of my top lip where it meets the nostril. I was thinking of an ingrown hair of sorts but now I believe it is some sort of infection. I have taken two 500mg amoxicillin as a cautionary move.
