Swelling Below The Knee Cap, Groin Pain. What Is It?
I have a knotlike lump or swelling of some kind that came up about a week ago on the lower right part of right knee below the knee cap? What is it? Doesn't hurt, have had a little discomfort like slight growing pains inside of thigh to knee to calf muscle once or twice but not sure if that has anything to do with the lump? Have an appointment Monday, just really been thinking about it a lot and it worries me of what it might be.
Hello.Initially pain in the groin and knee pain are different pathologies. Swelling and lump under knee a possible diagnosis is Inflammation of Bursa. Trauma and long periods of kneeling are the most frequent causes. Another possible diagnosis is inflammation of tendon which can be caused by physical overexertion.Go to your doctor to confirm or exclude diagnosis and establish right treatment. I wish you good health. (In case the answer would have been useful please indicate this)
