Swelling, Blisters On Nose After Getting Suntanned. Suspecting Herpes Zoster. Prescribed Acyclovir Cream. Opinion?

hi i went suntanning a few days ago and got burned on my nose and its swollen and there are blisters on top of it. I'm applying acyclovir cream right now because my doctor said it may be herpes zoster from too much sun exposure and dehydration. will this help my swelling and blisters go away? how long will it take for my nose to return back to normal?

Hi,

The cream prescribed is for herpes zoster, if the blister is from the herpes then it will be cured by the medicine in a week, if the blister is from the sunburn then their is need to change the prescription to steroid cream, to help it get better soon.

Hope it helps.

Dr.JAY PATEL.
