Swelling In Ankles, Drinking More Water. Is Swelling Caused By Drinking More Water?

I am on my feet all day and sometimes I experience swelling in the ankles in the evening, however, it usually goes away by morning. I know that I need to drink more water than I do; sometimes very little in a day, maybe 8 oz some days. Could that help in the ankle swelling issue by drinking more water. Otherwise, I am in excellent health age 63

Hi, thanks for calling Health care magic forum.
The edema on prolonged work, or standing may be due to anemia, difeciency of vitamin B complex, rarely stenosis of the heart valves.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
You may need to get E.C.G, and echo to exclude the cardiac problems.
Take more of green leafy vegetables , pulses, sprouts, and proteine rich foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
