Swelling In Feet And Ankles, Diabetic, Overweight. Taking Lisinipril, Duretic, Metformin. Advice?

Hello, I need to ask you about swelling in my feet and ankles. I am 65 years old, female, on two doses of lisinipril, with duretic twice a day. My feet have been swellin for several years. The doctor said it is because I am so heavy. My feet have begun to really bother me. they feel really tight and hurt nearly all the time. I am also diabetic, but my sugar is in normal range. I take metformin twice a day.

Hello,

This is the problem with many of the elderly obese people.
The swelling of the legs is due to ineffective venous return and accumulation of venous blood in the lower limbs.
Calf muscle exercise, stocking and elevated leg with rest will help in the return of venous blood and reduce the swelling.
