Swelling In Left Lower Eyelid. Urine Test Done With Few Pus Cells And Bacteria Present. Advice?
I got two years daughter. Two days earlier I saw some swelling in her left lower eyelid due to some insect bite so we took her to homeopathy doctor.he asked for few other symtoms and told us swelling is not due to insect bite but it is due to acute infantile nephritis.day after tomorrow we again took her to other two doctors but both confirmed it is dut to insect bite and ofcourse the swelling eventually subside.but we just went for routine urine test.all is fine no leakage of protein and al.but pus cell is 8 to 10/hpf and ca oxalate crystal is 2 to 3/hpf and bacteria present is +.please answer what it is.
The urine test reveals presence of pus cells 8-10/hpf, bacteria, and calcium oxalate crystals 2-3/hpf. There is a bacterial infection in the urinary tract. The next step is to get a mid steam urine sample and get a culture sensitivity. This test will isolate the bacteria and drug sensitivity will identify the most appropriate antibiotic for the infection.
Primary glomerular diseases (glomeruli are component of kidney) can lead to swelling of the eyelids. However, the swelling is bilateral and it is accompanied by edema, proteinuria, and hyperlipidemia. Unilateral swelling is most probably due to local causes like insect bite or trauma.
hi thanks for your query i can feel your concerns urine test is indicative of bacterial infection. i advise you to have a cuture and sensitivity of urine and then give her a course of antibiotic according to that report give her lot of fluids and water you can give citralka after consulting your doctor be careful while washing her.wash her private area from front to back swelling in one eye was most probably due to insect bite which has now subside wishing her good health regards dr.imran
