Swelling In Leg, Below Knee. Had It Iced. Done X Rays. Will It Heal By Itself?

Two weeks ago 2 solid wood doors fell on my leg and pinned my leg against the side of the bed, it swelled and my whole leg from the knee down was black and blue, I went to the dr who did x rays and said nothing was broken and to keep it elevated and iced which I've been doing, for a week I had non stop charlie horses in the area which are gone now but the swelling has not gone down (the size of a baseball cut in half) the swelling burns but the pain is manageable plus now it looks like it's spreading. Should I be worried or will it go away?

Swelling, that too the size of a baseball cut in half, after few days of such an impact with wood doors is never normal. You need a through physical examination to rule out certain things including ruling of of infection. You may also need investigations like MRI.

Also, whole leg from the knee down turning black and blue is of much concern.
