Swelling In Shin And Lower Leg, Presence Of Hard Lump
My son hit his shin hard on a pool ladder about 6 weeks ago. About 2 weeks post injury his shin and lower leg had some swelling. he had X-rays and blood test with no diagnosis . Six weeks later he is left with a lump on the shin that is hard and about 11/2 to 2 inches long. Should I be concerned and follow up with doctor?

Yes, I would ask you to take him to the doctor and get a CT scan if needed as it could be a blood clot formed after bleeding from the old injury.
Such clots will resolve on own but many a times it has to be aspirated. Do for a consultation and get it examined soon.
