Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. The injury over forehead can cause swelling over eye and nose near origin. It occurs because of reaction and rupture of vessels which lead to accumulation of blood and fluid. It trickles from forehead to eyes and origin of nose due to gravity. This trickling or shifting leads to swelling around eyes and nose. It is the reason behind occurrence of swelling in your case.
It is good that you are having simple
head injury only. You are conscious, oriented and your CT head was normal. Regarding wound management and relief in your symptoms, you can follow few tips
: Keep your dressing clean. If your wound was clean, non-contaminated, you can get it dressed after 5th day and then suture removal on 10th day. If it was contaminated, get it dressed after every day and suture removal according to doctor advise.
: You can apply icepacks over swelling area
: For pain, you can take painkiller like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription.
: Keep your head at higher level than chest.
Hope it will help you. If still no relief, you can
consult doctor.
Thanks. Take care.
