Swelling On Lymph Node, Sore Throat. Should I Meet A Doctor?

I have a sudden swelling of a lymph node right under my chin. It is tender and slightly sore. It came so suddlenly and I only noticed it last night. I woke up with a sore throat and then it subsided and now I have swelling under my chin.
Could it possible be just a swollen lymph node. Should I consult a doctor if it does not subside in a day or two?

hello and welcome to HCM ,,

I have understood your problem and at the offset it does not look to be serious so do not worry.

You seem to be having an episode of acute respiratory infection along with lymph node enlargement.

You need to take an antibiotic like the amoxycillin-clavulanate 625 mg combination for five days immediately. Your doctor will know about this.

You also need to take a pain killer like paracetamol.

Take only warm fluids and do not take head bath for a couple of days.
If the pain does not go or becomes worse you may consider antibiotic injections and pain killer injections for better and faster symptom relief.

Wait for a week and if the swelling and the pain does not subside then get an FNAC of the swelling and a throat swab and get back to me or an ENT with the report

take care and get well soon

Hi,
It seems that you might be having throat infection or some infection in your mouth like teeth, gums, tartered tooth giving rise to enlarge lymph node.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
With one course of antibiotic you will be alright.
Ok and take care.
