Swelling On Right Side Of Face, Grinding Of Jaw
Dr. I am concerned about my friend, he wont go to a Dr. Hes 55, His entire right side of his face is swollen.He is in pain .He doesn t seem to have any visible infection or absess... I gave him Ice.Do you have any suggestions? I think this was caused by grinding his jaw ..

From what you have told me , he may be having one of the folllowing conditions:
•TMJ disorder
•Swollen jaw glands
•Bacterial dental infection
•Periodontal abscess
You need to answer some of these questions before we can reach a diagnosis...
Is there any difficulty in hearing?
does the swelling increase or decrease in relation to meals?
is he having fever?
is there any difficulty in swallowing?
