Swelling Shins, Closed Fracture, Have Genital Herpes. Does It Causing Swelling?

Yes I was wondering if you knew the possible cause of my swelling shins. It all started when I went to basic training and I was diagnosed with having a closed fracture in my left shin. I was treated but the swelling continued and doctor sent me to have mri done. My MRI showed swelling and fluid but no other major causes. I also have genital herpes does this cause the swelling as well.

Hi,

In general, genital herpes is not related to fracture in the shin as you are currently experiencing.

However, both genital herpes and shin fracture are difficult to treat and need patience and following correctly your doctor's advice.

Hope it helped!
