Swollen Face, Eyes And Hands After Getting Stung By Swarms Of Yellow Jackets. Applying Benadryl. Meet Doctor?

My husband got stung several times by a swarms of yellow jackets today. He has taken Benadryl and I put Benadryl gel on the stings. The entire right side of his face is swollen and his eye ie swollen shut. He had to take his wedding ring off and his left hand is twice its normal size. I want to take him to the hospital, but he doesn't think they can do anything for him. Should he go and be seen?

Hi, he had sting, and had swelling, due to allergy, the allergy should be countered by some drugs, you have given benadryl to prevent further allergy to allergens of the sting.
So doctors can defenitely do a lot to counter the already present allergy, as his body defense failed to do so.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe steroids, levocitrizine, and antibiotic to prevent the secondary infection, as it is already late. Thank you.
