Swollen Glands In Cheek. Taking Medicine For Periodontal Disease. Will Doxycycline Help?
The glands in my left cheek have become swollen and there is also what feels like a lump. It is not painfull, but there is definite swelling. It almost seems like a salivary gland infection. I have an appointment tomorrow with my physician. Would taking some doxycycline help? I am already on 25mg's twice daily for periodontal disease, I wonder if I should increase the dose today?
Thanx
John Rowe
welcome to HCM! for an adult this dose of doxy is insufficient. if the swelling is not painful.its not inflammatory swelling. first get it examined by a doctor. he might advice u for a biopsy. all the best!
