Swollen Right Hand, Ring Finger Knuckle Disappearing. Working In Construction Field. What Could Be This?

my boyfriend works in some sort of construction job which requires him to have to grip tightly with his hands and such... for a couple of weeks he has had a very swollen right hand and just recently we have noticed that his ring finger knuckle is disapearing/ pushed back under the swollen-ness of his hand... please help? what could possibly be wrong? .. he is procrastinating on going to the doctors, and maybe if i give him some info on what could possibly be wrong he'll finally get help!

Hi, there is swelling of the hand then the ring finger, it appears to be the Tenosinovitis of the ring finger with the pus in the synovial sac of the ring finger. It is to be incised and pus is to be removed. So i advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
