Swollen Right Leg, Indentation After Scratching. Diagnosed As Cellulitis, History Of Heart Transplant. Recommendations?

Myh right leg has been swollen. I attended the hospital and they said I had Cellulitis? I went on an antibiotic drip for 7 days and 7 days orally. My leg has come down somewhat in a slow manner. Tonight I went to scratch an ich on my leg and there was a big indentation. I'm a heart transplant patient and know how to check for fluid and the sign of a slow return of indentation. However this is about 2 1/2 inches in circumference and 1/4 inch in depth.

Hello,

The pitting edema is due to the inflammatory fluid due to cellulitis.
Do not break the skin by scratching the area as if may become secondarily infected.

Keep wearing crepe bandage to the area and keep the legs in elevated position.
This will help the edema to subside.
