Swollen Saliva Glands Under Ear Lobe. Unable To Get Rid Of Lump. Any Other Tests Required?

Im a 38 year old female. I ve found a lump in my neck under my right ear lobe. Had a ultrasound and confirmed as swollen saliva glands. Doctor said lump should go down and it hasn t. Since then I ve had a rash on my neck for the last 4 weeks which I can t get rid of. What other tests should I get done?

Hello,
Thank you for the post on HCM.
I have gone through your history as you are having lump under your right ear lobe and it was confirmed as swollen salivary gland.
The salivary gland which is present there is Parotid gland. It may be infection of parotid gland. I would have advised
Antibiotics may be used to treat infection
A fine needle aspiration may be used to drain an abscess.
